Nova Kakhovka joined the project!
On December 2014 NovaKakhovke (Kherson oblast, Ukraine) joined the BRD-Net project. The first meeting of the project – the Dialogue of Partners – was held on December 12. The representatives of government, NGOs and business were invited to participate in the meeting. The purpose of the Dialogue of Partners was to discuss topical issues of town’s life, to organize working group for development projects as well to strengthenintersectoral partnership.
During the meeting the participants have discussed and ranked more than 20 problems of the municipality. Among those issues the participants mentioned the following
- High energy costs of communal establishments
- Homeless animals
- Need to improve the public park
- Recycling and disposal of municipal solid waste. This problem was ranked by the participants as the most crucial.
According the results of The Dialogues of Partners in Nova Kakhovka, the Local Development Group was organized. The Group will continue working out the problems and prospects of the town on an ongoing basis and will become kind of experts community to create a development project.
The Dialogue of partners was held in the framework of the projectBRD-NET (Black Sea Regional Development Network). The project is aimed to develop the capacity of non-governmental organizations and strengthen intersectoral partnership between Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia through transfer of the Visegrad countries experience.
